Rock River Rodders make donation to food pantry September 3rd 2009

  For the seventh year in a row, the Rock River Rodders have made a large donation to the Colona Food Pantry. Hazel Sletten, pantry director, shown second from the left, recently accepted the $4,000.00 donation from club members front row left Bob Showalter, Gib DeKoster and Leroy Woolley and back row left Dennis Martin,  Bob King, Ivan Walters, Todd Petersen and Bill McDaniel, Ms Sletten stated that this year's donation will assist with the Holiday baskets enabling the Food Pantry to feed over 2,000 people.

 Hi Guys Well you did it again this year.  With the food and lots of food plus the $275.00 with the food and the wonderful check for $3,000.00 You gave $4,000.00 plus again. I got a chance to buy a little more to help through the winter months too. So many new families coming in for help, and if any more shops goes and lay off. For the First year, the Rock River Rodders have made a donation to the Water Town Food Pantry of East Moline. Tina Foss, pantry director, shown second from the left, recently accepted the $750.00 donation from club members front row left Gib DeKoster, and Bob Showalter and back row left Bob King, Todd Petersen, Ivan Walters, Dennis Martin, Leroy Woolley, and Bill McDaniel.
